Create a task from the Family tab or Tasks screen. Assign to a colleague, set a due date, and let the bell notify them — My tasks for individuals, All tasks for coordinators.

Staff see their own inbox by default. Coordinators switch to All tasks for facility-wide oversight — same screen, role-aware tabs.
From family messages
Spot a follow-up in a family thread? Create a linked task without copying details into email or a whiteboard.
Bell notifications
Assignees get an in-app notification when a task lands on them — alongside family replies and system events.
Resident-linked
Optional resident link keeps context visible — dietary preference change, family request, or care note to chase.
Done means done
Mark complete with one tap. Open tasks surface on the manager dashboard attention strip.
Not the same as Notices
Tasks are personal or assigned follow-ups. Notices are facility-wide broadcasts — both live in Mealward, each with a clear job.
